In the beginning of Year 2003, 2 businessmen, Rinaldo Willy and Veit Brimer, met each other at the HTW (University of Applied Science) in Chur. They chanced upon
a research report about the production of diamonds made out of carbon extracted from cremation ashes which drew their attention. They discussed and felt that this technology should be made available to the public.
After a period of intense market research and feasibility studies, the corporation of “Algordanza Brimer and Willy” was founded on July 4, 2004 and Algordanza SA was eventually incorporated in 2005.
It started with the annual AFE (Asia Funeral Expo) held in Hong Kong in May 2009. Mr Ang Ziqian, after visiting the exhibition thought it would be a brilliant product to introduce to the Singapore market. Being land scarce and having a highly mobile generation, a diamond as a form of burial would be appealing.
A visit to the Switzerland HQ to meet up for discussions with Veit and Willy was arranged and finally in September 2009, Algordanza Singapore Pte Ltd became the official partner with Algordanza SA.
